Martin Edwards was chairman of Man United from 1980 until 2002, overseeing the appointment of Sir Alex Ferguson and sticking by him through the tough early years. Speaking to Pete, Edwards said Sir Alex was never 1 game away from being sacked, as previous reported by the media.
